About

About Omigirl

Omigirl is an online social discovery platform. It pairs you with somebody you have not met for a live, private 1v1 video call, and it is built on the idea that a two-minute conversation tells you more about a person than an evening of reading profiles.

What Omigirl Does

You set a preference for who you would like to meet, press start, and the platform connects you to somebody available right now. The conversation is live video between exactly two people, and either of you can end it at any moment and be matched with somebody else.

Nothing has to be set up first — there is no bio to write and no photo set to prepare before you can talk to anyone — and what you say in a call is not published anywhere afterwards.

The Decisions Behind It

Four choices shape almost everything about how Omigirl feels. None of them is an accident, and each one costs us something.

01

Two people, never a room

A group room has an audience, and an audience changes what people are willing to say: the loudest person performs and everybody else watches. Every conversation on Omigirl is exactly two people, with no way for a third to appear and no viewer count anywhere.

02

A preference, not a catalogue

You tell the matching what kind of person you would like to meet; you do not browse individuals and pick one. That is a deliberate limit. Browsing turns people into a list to be assessed, and it puts an hour of filtering in front of a conversation that would have told you more in two minutes.

03

Leaving has to be free

Skip costs nothing, needs no explanation and sends no notification. If ending a conversation were awkward or expensive, nobody would be honest about wanting to — they would sit through it and never come back. A cheap exit is what makes the rest of it relaxed.

04

Report belongs inside the chat

Not in a settings menu and not in an email you send afterwards. Reporting from inside the conversation carries the context of that conversation with it, ends the chat and blocks the person in the same action — so you never have to stay in a chat in order to document it.

What Will Not Appear on This Site

This industry has a house style: a live counter ticking past thirty thousand, a row of glowing testimonials from people who do not exist, and the word "free" in a headline above a product that charges. We have committed to none of it, and you can check every item.

  • No invented online count. You will not find a number of people "online right now" anywhere on this site, because we are not going to make one up. If a real live figure is ever shown here, it will be a real one.
  • No testimonials we did not receive. There are no five-star quotes, no invented names and no star ratings in our search results, because we have not earned any yet.
  • No "free" where it is not free. New accounts get some free calls; after that, calls are paid. That is stated on the homepage, on this page and in the Terms, in the same words.
  • No retention period we do not keep to. Our Privacy Policy explains what we hold and why, and says plainly where we do not operate a fixed schedule rather than quoting a comfortable number.
  • No claim about the product we have not checked. If something here describes how Omigirl works, it was verified against the product before it was published.

What Omigirl Is Not

  • Not a dating service. There is no compatibility matching and no promise about outcomes.
  • Not a broadcast or streaming platform. Calls are two people, never an audience.
  • Not connected to Omegle, or to anyone who ran it. That site closed in November 2023; Omigirl is a separate platform.
  • Not a social network. Your conversations are not posted or published anywhere.

What It Costs

New accounts get a number of free calls to try Omigirl with. We do not publish a fixed figure, because how many you get is decided by anti-abuse checks rather than by a simple counter — the allowance exists so that people can try the product, not so that it can be farmed.

After that, calls are paid. There is no single price for the site: the rate is set by the person you are talking to, so it varies from one call to the next. You are warned before charging starts, and there is no subscription — you are never billed for a month you did not spend.

How to Tell It Is Really Us

Products in this category get impersonated, usually by something that wants a password or a payment. Four things are always true of the real Omigirl:

  • The only address is omigirl.com. Anything on another domain is not us, however similar the logo looks.
  • We will never ask for your password. Not by email, not in a chat, not through support.
  • We will never ask you to verify your account through a link that another user sends you in a conversation.
  • Written contact comes from our support address, published on the contact page — never from a personal account messaging you first.

How the Name Is Written

One spelling: Omigirl. Capital O, everything else lower case, one word. Not OmiGirl, not Omi Girl, not OmeGirl, and not Omigirls. The site, the app, the domain and every mention on this site use exactly that form.

This is more pedantic than it sounds. Search engines build a brand out of consistent repetition of one string, and a name written four ways is four half-brands rather than one whole one. If you are linking to us or writing about us, Omigirl is the form we would ask you to use.

Who Can Use It

Omigirl is for people who are at least 18 years old. The full requirements, and what gets an account removed, are set out in our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. How the safety controls work, and what they cannot do, is in the Safety Center.

How to Reach Us

Reports about a specific conversation are best made from inside that chat — the report control carries the context automatically, which a message sent afterwards cannot. For anything else, see the contact page.
