What we collect, what we do not, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.

1. What We Collect

  • Account details — the display name and credentials you register with, and any contact address you provide.
  • Usage data — when you connect, how long chats last, which features you use. Not what was said in them.
  • Device and technical data — device type, browser, approximate location derived from IP, and connection quality figures needed to make live video work.
  • Payment records — if you buy something. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by us.
  • Reports — when you report a conversation, the report and the context needed to review it.

2. What We Do Not Do

  • We do not record your video chats.
  • We do not publish your conversations. Calls are not posted, and there is no browsable history of them.
  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not give the people you are matched with your email address, phone number, exact location or other accounts.
  • We do not read the content of chats routinely — only what is attached to a report, and only to enforce the rules.

3. Why We Hold It

To run the service (matching you with someone requires knowing you are online and what your preference is); to keep it safe (blocks and removals need an account to attach to); to process payments; and to meet legal obligations. Where the law requires a lawful basis, ours is the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in keeping the platform safe, or your consent where it is asked for.

4. Who It Is Shared With

Two categories, and no others.

Service providers who make the platform run — hosting, content delivery, payment processing and analytics. Each acts on our instructions and receives only what that job needs.

Authorities, where we are legally required to respond, or where there is a credible risk to someone's safety.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

5. How Long It Is Kept

Your account data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account from inside the app, and deleting it deletes the account.

For everything else — technical logs, and the records attached to reports and moderation decisions — we do not operate a fixed retention schedule, so we are not going to quote you a number we do not keep to. We hold them for as long as they are needed for the purposes set out above and for as long as the law requires. Moderation records are the clearest case: one has to outlive the account it relates to, or a removal could be undone by signing up again.

If you want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted, the contact page explains how to ask.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Account deletion is available from within the app. For anything else, see the contact page. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, which is a protection for you rather than an obstacle.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. What each one is for, and how to turn the optional ones off, is on the Cookie Policy page.

8. Children

Omigirl is not for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe an account belongs to someone under 18, report it from the chat or through the contact page. Accounts we find to belong to someone under 18 are removed, along with the data held about them.
